Hotcar is committed to deliver the best products and shopping experience to you. However,
sometimes because of the scale of operation a few exceptional unfortunate cases do
happen, including mishandling by the courier services. By any means you feel dissatisfied
with the product or delivery, kindly inform us for an appropriate resolution. We will try our
best to replace the product to your satisfaction and if that is not possible because of some
operational constraint then we will provide full or partial refund as per the requirement.
Replacement Policy
We accept replacement of all our product(s) if damaged in transit or in case of defective
products. The return courier charges of the product will be paid by us in such scenario. The
customer needs to send us the unboxing video of the package for clarification. This policy
applies to both regular and customised products.
Return Policy
Since we deal in both regular and customised products, some of our products will not have
return policy. Regular products comes under the following points:
Damaged or Tampered Packaging
Our suppliers ensure safe packaging of all the products sold by them. In exceptional cases,
damage to the packaging occurs due to mishandling by the courier services. In case you
have received your order with the outer packaging tampered/meddled/crushed, please DO
NOT ACCEPT the package, instead capture a picture of the same and share with us at the
earliest. Hotcar shall not accept the return or refund of any products that comes in this
category in case the customer accepts a damaged package and claims replacement.
Damaged or Missing Products
Online shops always face tight competition from retail shops and hence most of the return
policies are misused by many people, distributors, shopkeepers, etc. We request all our
buyers to keep a FULL UNBOXING VIDEO of the package(s). The video should contain the
full unboxing process from the outer pack in good condition to the damages or missing part
in the product(s) without any kind of edits. Without the video, we shall not be in a positon
to accept the return and replacement.
Non Functioning Products
Usually all products are checked before dispatch. In rare cases, if the product is defective,
we will replace the product under the following conditions:
Condition of product and package - The product(s) to be returned must be unused and in
their original condition. The original tags, additional items, warranty cards (if any) and
original packaging should be intact. Those Products which are hard packed or sealed, if
opened/unpacked shall not be refunded or replaced (like perfumes & paints).
Used/Broken/Tampered: We would not be able to accept a product if it shows sign of being
broken or tampered with by the customer or the return courier.
Return Shipping: Kindly ensure safe packing while returning any product. We won't be able
to entertain any damage/lost in return transit (For example:- If a complaint was raised for
Wrong Product Delivery and the sent item got damaged in the return courier, then we will
not be responsible for the damage and eventually may not be in a position of replacement
for the original one as well).
If the buyer changes the mind
If product(s) doesn’t have any issues, but still the buyer needs to return it, we shall initiate
the refund the remaining amount after deducting both way courier charges packing
charges (if any). This is not applicable for custom made orders.
Product Warranty
All the products listed on our website are provided by multiple suppliers from various locations. Products which comes under warranty shall be replaced/repaired with mutual consent of the customer and the supplier under the following conditions:
- • The product should have all the original parts/accessories along with it
- • The product should be in original condition without external damages
- • Any tampering of warranty seal/stickers will void the warranty
- • Any repairing/servicing from other sources will void the warranty
- • The warranty card/invoice needs to be produced during claims
- • The customer bears the return courier charges
- • Other warranty policies mentioned on the product/warranty card
Products without Warranty
Most car accessories (both online offline) doesn’t come with warranty. Some products like
floor mats, armrests, claddings, cleaning products are all for physical use and requires no
warranty. Some other products like small LED or decoration lights will not have any type of
warranty.
Like for instance, a fog light DRL needs to be checked before installation. If there are any
issues, we will replace the product with a new one. If the same product was functioning well
initially and shows some error after installing, there could be some issues in installation or
wiring and we shall not be liable for such issues.
Installation
Most of our products shall be installed by self. Some electrical & electronic accessories
needs external assistance. We request all the buyers to choose a well-known expert
technician for installation of such products.
Cancelation by Hotcar
Hotcar reserves all the rights to refuse any cancel any order for any reason. The situation may include cancelling the order due to unavailability of the product/colour/size, quantity order from you, delivery non serviceable pin code or error in pricing information.
Cancelation by User
Hotcar reserves all rights to accept or reject any cancellation request in any case. If we
receive the request for cancellation and the order has not been processed, we will initiate
the 100% refund. Refunds will usually take 3 to 7 working days depending on banks.
However, if the order already packed & picked up by courier companies, we shall not be
able to cancel that orders. In such cases, we accept return if the customer bears the packing
charges and both way courier charges.
Customised Orders
Custom made orders (such as custom floor mats, customised keychains, number plates, custom lights or any items particularly made on order) cannot be cancelled or refunded. Most of the products of this category will not have cash on delivery facility as well.
Products on Offers/Discounts:
Offers and discounts can be offered by Hotcar and/or the suppliers. Products sold on
discounts cannot be cancelled or refunded. Moreover, two discounts cannot be clubbed
together.

1. If the courier/package is damaged…
In case the courier pack is damaged/opened/crushed/tampered or shows any kind of mishandling, especially in case of fragile items, please do not accept or open the package. Click pictures of the package or a detailed video for references. Register a complaint on www.hotcarshop.in/contact page within 24 hours of delivery. We’ll get in touch soon.
2. If I receive a defective product...
In case you have received a defective/ damaged product from our side then please keep a
full unboxing video of the package and contact us at the earliest through phone or
WhatsApp. We shall initiate the return/replacement of the product.
3. If I have received a wrong product…
In case if you have received a wrong product from our side then please keep a full unboxing
video of the package and contact us at the earliest through phone or WhatsApp. We shall
initiate the return/replacement of the product.
4. If I have received the correct product but fitting is improper…
All the products listed on our site has proper descriptions for each products including
pictures and/or videos. All car specific products will suit the particular model. In case of
universal items, there may be exceptional vehicles in which it cannot be installed easily. For
instance, a universal armrest is suitable for almost all cars, except in some cars in which the
power window switch is located at the central console. In such cases, customers are
supposed to ensure proper fitting before buying. You may contact us for any queries before
the purchase. We will check for the compatibility of the product and inform you soon. In
other cases, Hotcar shall not be liable for replacement or refund of such products.
The proper method of returning a product…
Capture a full video of unboxing – the video should include clear unboxing procedure from
the beginning till the damage in the product, without any editing. Send us the video on our
contact number we will resolve it at the earliest. Please ensure safe packaging of the
product as the buyer takes the risk of proper packaging. Some pin codes has pickup facility,
other areas will have pre-paid shipping only. We shall reimburse the courier charges and
replacement will be initiated once the product reaches us safely.
Shipping Terms
Hotcar has integrated/partnered with multiple logistics providers available in the industry. Courier services are selected on basis on service network, tariffs and availability. Shipping duration depends on location, weight/dimensions of package, mode of transit, number of orders and other external factors including holidays, climate, strikes, etc. Cash on delivery facility is limited to some products depending on their prices and categories.
Additional Information:
Some external factors like earthquakes, floods, virus pandemics, etc. has affected the
regular supply of many products. In such cases, we shall inform the buyer if there’s any kind
of non-availability, shortage or delay.
